Edwardian Ruby and paste bow/heart locket Circa 1915.
This is a genuine Edwardian hallmarked 9ct gold back and front locket.
The locket is heart shaped and has a detailed, intricate border around it.
The locket has a bow design in the centre displaying sparkling pastes and rich pink rubies.
The original black and white photos are inside the locket depicting two women.
The original gold rims are still in place.
Initials are inscribed on the reverse – it is difficult to decipher what they are, because the writing is so fancy – but they can be polished out if a plain back is preferred.
The locket opens and closes securely.
The detail in this locket is amazing and the design and intricate workmanship is superb.
The locket weighs 5.8 grams.
It measures 25mm across and down – that’s 1 inch.
