This gorgeous 18 ct yellow gold insect brooch is beautifully made with Old Cut Diamonds & Gemstones in the Victorian Style.

The brooch is 18 ct yellow gold and silver set with cabachon Ruby eyes, a Sapphire head and Amethyst body.

The Rose cut Diamonds are set into the wings with 0.80 ct in total.

They glisten and shimmer with immense fire and brilliance captivating the allure of nature's beauty.

The dazzling Amethyst is 0.65 ct and is a purple variety of the Quartz.

Medieval European soldiers wore Amethyst amulets as protection in battle.

The colour of the ruby eyes is associated with love and vivacity, passion and power.

The colour of the royal blue sapphire head is associated with feelings of sympathy and harmony, friendship and loyalty.

It weighs 2.8 grams.

In very good condition, it looks fabulous when worn.
